Brrrr

It is very cold for this area in the last few days and we also received a light dusting of snow. Here you can see the finished hole. I'm pretty sure they were finished a few days ago, but since I don't usually get home from work until after dark, it makes it tough to take a snapshot.

Just have to wait for them to do some shoveling and put in the cellar. We are currently waiting for the delivery date. We have to apply to the town to block the road 14 days ahead of time for them to use their mega-crane so I guess we have, again, some waiting to do.

There's a hole, there's a hole, there's a hole in ...

Well we've got a hole. Yesterday evening, we learned that they actually DID start digging on Friday, since my wife dropped by on Thursday and it didn't seem that anything had happened. They were supposed to mention it to us before they started. Oh well. On Friday evening there was no plastic or fencing around. On Saturday I grabbed a few snapshots. They have dug a litte farther to the left of the area in order to make place for two supports which will be used for a car port later. As you can see they took all the dirt away somewhere.

Digger Dudes

We signed the contract for the digging work today. Friday the 13th is a meeting at the lot with the architect, house builder, cellar builder, and the digger dude. I wonder what the digger guys are called? Since it is the 13th, will I need extra insurance? The uncomfirmed rumour is that the digger dudes can start as early as next week. That would be cool. I already got my shovel to help.
